Dvolver Digital Movie is a Web 2.0 Video tool in which teachers and/or students can create their own movie. It is free and consists of very simple steps.
You choose from and create the setting, background, characters, and music is optional. My favorite part of this was typing in what I wanted each character to say. According to O’Neil (2011), “inviting students to write captions for selected openings can serve to expand their visual literacy as well as their written literacy skills” I can create a movie consisting of material we are currently learning as a visual tool; or I can have students create their own video which they will really enjoy doing. Students will have to create sentences for their characters and they can show their video to the class when completed.
